The nozzle assembly is an integral part of the thermostatic expansion valves, which control the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporators. The injection process is regulated based on the superheat of the refrigerant. Therefore, these valves are particularly useful for liquid injection in "dry" evaporators, where the superheat at the evaporator outlet varies proportionally to the evaporator load. Only the nozzle assembly with a filter is available in the set.
