Product Description
WAGO TOPJOB®S 2004-402 2-Way Comb Jumper — Light Gray, 32 A, 800 V
WAGO 2004-402 is an insulated push-in comb jumper from the TOPJOB®S series that connects potential across two adjacent series 2004 terminal blocks. The bridging system is based on a plug-socket principle — each terminal block has two bridging openings equipped with a chrome-nickel steel spring that holds the jumper made of pure electrolytic copper at full rated current of 32 A. The compact polyamide PA66 enclosure with flammability class V0 provides protective insulation and operating safety.
Main Features and Benefits
- Tool-free push-in installation: the jumper is inserted vertically into two openings of the TOPJOB®S 2004 terminal block until it snaps in place; quick installation reduces panel assembly time.
- Insulated protective cover: protects against accidental contact with live parts during panel maintenance.
- Full current-carrying capacity 32 A / 800 V: pure electrolytic copper contact transmits the rated current of the parent terminal block without derating.
- Railway Ready certificate: the jumper meets the requirements of standards DIN EN 50155 and DIN EN 61373 — approved for use in railway rolling stock (vibration testing category 1, class A/B, shock tests 5g).
- Ex e II approval (30 A): can be used in areas with explosion hazard.
- Application as a reducing jumper: allows connecting terminal blocks with different wire cross-sections — details in the installation instructions section.
- RoHS Compliance: Compliant, No Exemption — no exemptions.

FAQ — Frequently Asked Questions
Which terminal blocks is the WAGO 2004-402 jumper compatible with?
The 2004-402 jumper is dedicated exclusively to WAGO TOPJOB®S series 2004 terminal blocks. It is not compatible with other series (e.g., 2000, 2001, 2002), which have different bridging socket dimensions.
Does jumper installation require tools?
No. The jumper is inserted vertically into the terminal block openings without tools — by hand until it snaps in place. For removal, a WAGO installation tool is required, which is inserted between the jumper and the channel wall.
What is the maximum current and voltage?
The rated current is 32 A at 800 V voltage (category III/3 according to IEC/EN 60664-1). In Ex e II zones, the rated current is 30 A.
What temperature range can the jumper be used in?
Installation temperature: -35 … +85°C. Long-term operating temperature: -60 … +105°C.
Does the jumper have a railway certificate?
Yes. The 2004-402 jumper has a Railway Ready certificate (WAGO GmbH & Co. KG) confirmed by tests according to DIN EN 50155 and DIN EN 61373 — including random vibrations (category 1, class A/B) and shock tests (5g, 30 ms).
Can the 2004-402 jumper be shortened to 1 position?
The 2004-402 jumper is the smallest 2-way variant in the series. A 1-way jumper is obtained by breaking out one contact pin from a multi-position jumper (e.g., 2004-403 or higher) — according to WAGO instructions.
