Product Description
WAGO TOPJOB®S 2002-405 5-way busbar bridge — light gray, 25 A, 800 V
WAGO 2002-405 is an insulated push-in busbar bridge from the TOPJOB®S series that links the potential of five adjacent terminal blocks in the 2002 series. The bridging system is based on a plug-and-socket principle — each terminal features two bridge holes equipped with an additional chrome-nickel steel spring that holds the pure electrolytic copper bridge under full rated current of 25 A. With a single bridging operation, it eliminates the need for five separate wiring connections, tidies the distribution panel, and significantly reduces wiring time.
Main features and benefits
- Tool-free push-in installation: the bridge is inserted vertically into five pairs of TOPJOB®S 2002 terminal holes until it snaps into place; removal requires the WAGO assembly tool inserted in the middle of the bridge.
- Insulated protective cover: protects against accidental contact with live parts during servicing of an energized distribution panel.
- Full 25 A / 800 V rating: the pure electrolytic copper contact carries the rated current of the 2002 parent terminal without any derating.
- Railway Ready certification: positive results according to DIN EN 50155 and DIN EN 61373 (random vibration category 1, class A/B up to 0.572g / 5 h and shock tests 5g / 30 ms) — approved for rolling stock.
- Ex e II approval (20 A): suitable for use in explosion-hazard installations.
- Reducer bridge: allows bridging terminals with different conductor cross-sections — see installation notes section for details.
- Can be shortened by breaking pins: the 5-way bridge can be reduced to any smaller number of circuits by breaking off surplus contact pins.
- RoHS compliant: Compliant, No Exemption — no exemptions applied.

Manufacturer documentation from WAGO:
FAQ — frequently asked questions
Which terminal blocks is the WAGO 2002-405 bridge compatible with?
The 2002-405 bridge is dedicated exclusively to WAGO TOPJOB®S series 2002 terminal blocks. It is not compatible with other WAGO series (e.g. 2000, 2001, 2004), which have different bridge hole dimensions.
What are the maximum current and voltage ratings?
The rated current is 25 A at 800 V (category III/3 according to IEC/EN 60664-1). In Ex e II zones, the current rating is 20 A.
Does the bridge require tools for installation?
No. The bridge is inserted into the terminal holes without tools — by hand until it snaps in. Removal requires the WAGO assembly tool; the 5-way bridge is removed by inserting the tool in the center.
Does the 2002-405 bridge have railway certification?
Yes. The bridge has Railway Ready certification (WAGO GmbH & Co. KG) confirmed by tests according to DIN EN 50155 and DIN EN 61373 — including random vibration category 1, class A/B (up to 0.572g / 5 h per axis) and shock tests (5g, 30 ms, 3 positive and 3 negative on each axis). All test results were positive.
Can the 2002-405 bridge be shortened to fewer circuits?
Yes. By breaking off the extra contact pins, it is possible to obtain a bridge with any smaller number of circuits (e.g. 4-, 3-, or 2-way).
How does the 2002-405 differ from the 2004-405?
Both are 5-way insulated TOPJOB®S bridges, but they are designed for different terminal series — 2002-405 fits series 2002 terminals (2.5 mm2), while 2004-405 fits series 2004 terminals (4 mm2). The rated current for series 2002 is 25 A, and for series 2004 it is 32 A.
