What does Philips Food LED (WWR) technology mean?

WWR stands for warm white red — a dedicated LED formula developed by Philips specifically for food display in refrigerated environments. It provides exceptional color saturation (especially reds and oranges) while maintaining natural white, so meat, dairy, fruits and cold cuts look appetizing and natural. WWR products are a special application for refrigerated furniture only — they are not intended for general room lighting.

What is the difference between the CTR and SD versions?

The CTR version (center-fed) is powered from the center of the bar by a cable entering the middle. It has a wider housing (31 mm), higher power (33.8 W) and a typical luminous flux of 2460 lm. The SD version (side-fed) is powered from the side, has a narrower housing (22 mm), lower power (16.9 W) and a typical flux of 1230 lm. CTR is recommended where maximum display brightness is required.

What LED driver is required?

The bar requires a constant-voltage 24 V DC power supply. Philips has certified the system only in combination with Philips LED Power Driver (Constant Voltage) drivers — only this combination guarantees the 5-year system warranty and 50 000 h lifetime.

Is the bar compatible with previous-generation InteGrade accessories?

Yes. InteGrade Gen 2 retains compatibility with first-generation accessories (profiles, connectors, cables). In addition, Gen 2 introduces new mounting clips allowing direct mounting without a profile, simplifying and speeding up installation.

Is the bar suitable for freezers?

Yes. The product is certified according to IEC/EN 60335-2-24 (refrigerating appliances) and IEC/EN 60335-2-89 (commercial refrigeration furniture), as well as UL 2108 and CSA C22.2 No. 9. The permissible storage temperature range is -30 °C to 60 °C. Note: the bar has no IP rating but is certified for use inside refrigerated furniture.

What is the actual lifetime of the bar?

The L70B50 rating is 50 000 h at ambient temperature 30 °C and 3 switching cycles per day, in combination with a Philips driver. With typical use of 16 hours per day, this means over 8 years without replacement — low service costs and minimal display downtime.
