What is the difference between the SD and CTR versions?

The SD version (side-fed) is powered from the side — the cable enters at the bar edge. It has a narrower housing (22 mm), lower power (16.9 W) and typical luminous flux of 1230 lm. The CTR version (center-fed) is powered from the middle, has a wider housing (31 mm), higher power (33.8 W) and 2460 lm flux. SD is ideal for narrow spaces and installations where discrete wiring along the furniture edge is important.

What does Philips Food LED (WWR) technology mean?

WWR stands for warm white red — a dedicated LED formula developed by Philips specifically for food display in refrigerated conditions. It delivers exceptional color saturation (especially reds and oranges) while maintaining natural white. Meat, dairy, fruits and cold cuts look appetizing and natural. WWR products are intended only for refrigerated furniture — not for general room lighting.

What LED driver is required?

The bar requires a constant voltage 24 V DC power supply. Philips has certified the system only with Philips LED Power Driver (Constant Voltage) drivers — only this combination guarantees the 5-year system warranty and 50 000 h lifetime.

Is the bar suitable for freezers?

Yes. The product is certified to IEC/EN 60335-2-24 (refrigerating appliances) and IEC/EN 60335-2-89 (commercial refrigeration furniture), as well as UL 2108 and CSA C22.2 No.9. The permissible storage temperature range is -30 °C to 60 °C. The bar is certified for use inside refrigerated furniture, although it does not have a dedicated IP rating.

Is the bar compatible with first-generation InteGrade accessories?

Yes. InteGrade Gen 2 remains fully compatible with first-generation accessories (profiles, connectors, cables). In addition, Gen 2 introduces new mounting clips that allow bar installation directly without a profile, shortening installation time.

What is the actual lifetime of the bar?

The L70B50 rating is 50 000 h at ambient temperature 30 °C and 3 switching cycles per day, when used with a Philips driver. With typical 16-hour daily operation, this means over 8 years without replacement — low service costs and minimal display downtime.
