The EKC 202 controller series is used in many areas of refrigeration - from air temperature control and defrost to more advanced applications, including lighting and fan control. The controller can work in a network.

The controller is equipped with four relays, two temperature sensors and a binary input.
Temperature control by controlling the compressor/solenoid valve
Defrost temperature sensor
Electric defrost / hot gas defrost
Fan control
The fourth relay can be used as an alarm relay or for lighting control.

Application

• • The controller is used to regulate the temperature in a refrigeration device and is particularly recommended for use in refrigeration chambers and furniture in supermarkets and other commercial facilities.
• • The controller can also supervise: defrost, fan operation, alarm functions and lighting

Characteristics

The controller regulates the temperature based on a single temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is placed either in the cold air stream directly behind the evaporator or in the warm air stream before the evaporator.
The controller can control natural or electric defrost.
The cooling is switched on after defrosting after reaching the set defrost end temperature or after the set time has elapsed.
The defrost temperature is measured using a defrost sensor. Depending on the version, the controller is equipped with two to four relays, to which the following functions can be assigned:

• Cooling (compressor or solenoid valve)
• Defrost
• Fan
• Alarm
• Lighting

· 16A heavy-duty relays for connecting the compressor, no need to use an intermediate relay dual-state inputs
· defrost start, door switch, change to night mode, main switch, device cleaning, alarm, defrost coordination, dual thermostat

fan
· fan start delay after defrost
· fan stop when compressor is switched off
· fan stop at high temperature of S5 sensor

lighting function
· day/night mode, door switch, data network

Advantages:

factory calibration guaranteeing better measurement accuracy than required by the EN 441-13 standard, without the need for additional calibration (for the Pt1000 sensor)
 

Additional modules
The controller can be equipped with an appropriate additional module if required for the given application.
The controller has a prepared connector for installing the module.
The additional module is inserted into the controller.
