TE - 55 type thermostatic expansion valves regulate the injection of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator in medium-sized installations (nominal capacity from 6 to 210 kW for 404A/R507). The injection is controlled by the superheat of the refrigerant - hence the valves are particularly useful for supplying "dry" evaporators, in which the superheat value at the evaporator outlet should be maintained at a constant level.
